Discover how the size and shape of objects has an impact on the way they move. Explore pushing and pulling forces as you create a parachute to safely help your little character to the ground. Consider its observable properties and test design changes. Can you improve on our design?

Once you have purchased your ticket please keep your receipt as proof of payment.  Please note that we require minimum numbers to run this session.  If minimum numbers are not met, we will contact you to arrange for rescheduling of your session.  You will be emailed a list of materials to have ready for the session as well as a link to our classroom at least 48hrs before the lesson is scheduled to begin.  Please ensure you have a stable internet connection as well as a webcam and mic (if you want the session to be interactive).

    MATERIALS LIST - please ensure participants have all materials or a suitable alternative

    Wool or kitchen string cut into 1m length, plus spare
    Sticky tape
    Lego minifigure or similar, plus another small object to use as parachuters
    Tissues, one precut into 20cm square
    Cardboard, paper or cloth, one only, also precut into 20cm square
    Paper and pencil
    Coloured pencils or markers
